Updates, Pictures from this weekend, and People magazine shoot!

So as of today 8 weeks and 5 days pregnant. Man morning sickness sucks! I'm not feeling like myself at all. I really hope it goes away soon, I'm getting very very tired of it.

This week I've been working on getting Lilian's room cleaned up and organized. It's been a big ordeal because she has a ton of stuff for a 16 month old!

Saturday Kyle took Lilian fishing while I was at the People Magazine shoot. They had lots of fun and Lilian did very well in the woods. They will definitely be going more often. Meanwhile I was getting my hair done and makeup done by the ladies at Hair Etc located in Harvey. They were hired by People to come to the photo shoot and do our "looks." They did a great job and everyone looked fabulous.
Sarah just after having her hair done.

Me getting lovely curlers put in my hair.

Sarah and I's finished looks with Charles Moses.

Courtney got the baby to sleep . Awww.

So the magazine won't hit stands by mother's day. But they said probably the issue after mother's day! yay!

I'm going to be a Lactation Consultant.

I got an email today from the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners! My application to start training has been accepted and all I have to do now is tell my mentor, and get the hospital to let me train on the floor. I'm sooo happy!!!

I'm still going for my nursing degree, but this on top of it. :)

It has been quite an epic weekend.

Okay maybe not epic, but there were a ton of great photo opportunities that I just had to share with you!

This was at my mom's house where my mother put a hair tie in Lilian's hair for one of the first times. It took her quite some time to get it in there, she had to chase Lilian around the kitchen to actually get it in her hair! Sadly it only lasted for about two hours.

This is Sarah nursing baby Charles Moses in her Moby Wrap. It's sort of a long story, but after his mother passed away from birth complications, members of our little breastfeeding community have been taking turns nursing him so he can get the breast milk he deserves!

This is me nursing Charles and Lilian giving him kisses. I think she just wanted to smack him in the head, but it certainly appears like she is trying to kiss him here!

This is Robbie, Charles' dad. Aw so adorable.

Here is Jack, Sarah's son and Julia, Robbie's daughter.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures!! Stay Warm!

Sally

First Official Post

Why a blog? We, as a family have done a pretty questionable job at keeping our friends and family updated on the aspects of our lives thus far, but I figure that updating in a web based format will be an easy and fun way to let everyone in on our life! I will try to update whenever something interesting happens in our lives or when I think others need to know something!

I'm sure you all want to know how Lilian is doing. She is 17lbs 9oz as of a few days ago and just about 14 months old. She is so smart and full of life! She can say so many words and is starting to use certain words together and making her own little sentences. We are still breastfeeding and it's going great. She's also eating table food of course but not always well!

I really think she is missing be able to go outside and play like she got to so last summer, but we are trying to make this winter as good as we can! We went out sledding a few weekends ago and she really enjoyed it. Hopefully we get another warm-ish day. Kyle keeps saying he thinks we will get over 250 inches of snow this year and I'm really hoping the snow just stops soon!

This summer I think will be especially exciting since Lilian is walking! We have signed Lilian up for a parent tot swim class starting May 5th with her two friends Liam and Jack. I think that will be a great official starting point for our summer!

Hope everyone is doing well! Stay warm and enjoy these cold days but hope they go away soon!
